About Me
I am a second year PhD student in computer science at the College of William & Mary, Williamsburg. I got my M.S. in Computer Science at William and Mary with a Computational Operations Research(COR) specialization. I am a member of the research group, Compilers and Adaptive Programming Systems (CAPS). My advisor is Dr. Xipeng Shen.
Prior to coming to the United States, I completed my undergraduate studies in Electrical Engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU), China. With a bachelor's degree in EE, a master's degree specialized in Operations Research, and my early Ph.D. research in Simulation and Modeling, I have a diversified background that helps me think from diffferent aspects of a problem. As such, the brainstorming is very enjoyable and rewarding experience to me. I was able to apply the OR techniques like statistical analysis and regression models, in the storage system and network workload characterization (QEST 2008 paper).
