My research interests cover many aspects of distributed systems. I have left William and Mary and am now at SIPeerior Technologies. I received my PhD from CMU in 2000 and my BS from Virginia Tech in 1994.

I have co-chaired the Network Measurements Working Group, which is part of the Global Grid Forum.

Previous Projects at CMU

• Remos: API and system for acquiring resource information.
• Dv: Distributed visualization of large scientific data sets
• ECO: Optimizing collective operations for network topology
• Dome: Distributed objects supporting heterogeneity, fault tolerance, and load balancing.

My co-advisors at CMU were Thomas Gross and David O'Hallaron. Before he left for Inktomi, Adam Beguelin was my advisor.
