10/29/08: Errata to HW6. In problem 4 you should prove that DEC_TM is undecidable rather than that it is not Turing-recognizable. I apologize for the confusion.
10/7/08: There is a class-wide extension on HW4 until Thursday, October 16th. HW5 will now be due on Thursday the 23rd; other homeworks will be due as planned. Office hours will be held Wednesday 10/8 and Wednesday 10/15, 2-5pm.
10/6/08: Office hours today (Monday) are canceled. Office hours will be held on Wednesday the 8th of October instead.
8/28/08: As (I think) I mentioned in class, when you have a diagram it is not necessary to typset your figure, you can just draw it in afterwards. What I forgot to mention is how to insert vertical space so you can do this. The best way to do this is to use ""
\vskip{2cm}" to
insert a 2cm vertical space (adjust as needed). I also forgot to mention
equation mode. If you use "$$" instead of "$" to delimit a math mode
section, LaTeX will put it on a line by itself and center it.
