We will describe a robust approach to engineering optimization through the use of managed surrogates. This includes a discussion of the basic approach, of the underlying analysis that guarantees convergence to a constrained stationary point, and of some results from extensive numerical tests run using our complete, self-contained, publicly-available implementation.
