Wiki Assignment for a chapter of Horstmann's book

The CS 301 Wiki pages on WM Wikis have a special pages for a discussion of Horstmann's book.

For each chapter there is a separate page that comes with the additional feature of an online discussion.

You can use this page to write notes you would like to share on the specific content of this chapter.

To edit this page, please click on the edit button on the menu display to the upper right of this frame.

You can use the discussion (accessible by clicking the field right next to the edit button on the menu display), to post questions and answers.

Note that for each chapter you are asked to use the discussion to provide at least one interesting question and three answers to questions that other students have.

Your questions and answers will be graded. We simply check the number of serious questions and answers you contributed. We would like to stimulate a serious discussion students to the benefit of all participants. Do not worry about a question being "stupid", any serious question will count. Questions that do not count are "fake" ones that simply ask for a fact written in Horstmann's book.

Questions can range from very general questions, to very basic questions to technically detailed and involved questions.

A question is interesting if its answer is not obvious from the text in the book.

Please use this opportunity to ask questions that come to your mind when you read the chapter and questions you are seriously interested in reading an answer to.

When providing answers, try to be precise, explain your point and provide reference to corresponding sources of information whenever possible.

A great is answer is one that provides valid, accurate information to answer the question and helps the person who asked the question to find answers for similar questions on his/her own the next time.
