Short Bio.

Woosub Jung has been working on his PhD degree in the Department of Computer Science at William & Mary (W&M) since Fall 2016. His PhD advisor is Dr. Gang Zhou. His research interests lie in ubiquitous sensing, IoT machine learning systems, and IoT privacy and security.

Woosub's research has been published in top-tier venues, including UbiComp, IPSN, and SenSys. He won the prestigious award from W&M for his excellence in research, the Graduate Park Award. Woosub was also awarded the Commonwealth Cyber Initiative (CCI) Dissertation Fellowship for his research in IoT privacy and security. His work has been recognized by 2020 Elsevier Smart Health Most Downloaded Paper Award. Part of his IoT security research was filed for a formal U.S. patent and is now under the commercialization process, supported by W&M business school's venture program and George Mason's commercialization program.

Previously, he received his Bachelor of Science in Information and Communication in 2009 and Master of Science in Electronics and Computer Engineering in 2011 from Hanyang University, Korea (the Republic of).
