Submit Program

The purpose of the submit program is to provide you with an easy way for you to collect work from your students.

Getting a copy of the submit executables

On the Department of Computer Science local area network, use the Tcl/Tk script install_submit to install and configure the submit submit executables. Type:

             ~bynum/submit_pgms/install_submit

Source of script

If you want a copy of the submit program but you cannot access to the Department of Computer Science local area network, then send email to Bill Bynum.

Configuring submit

Use the Tcl/Tk script edit_submitrc to edit the submit resource file. Type

             ~bynum/submit_pgms/edit_submitrc

Source of script

Submit User's Guide  (1.3 megabytes)

To print a copy of the guide, use the command (in ghostview or gv)

             rsh va lpr -s /home/f85/bynum/submit_pgms/submituse.ps

This command is necessary because the file is larger than the 1 megabyte limit imposed by lpd.
